Falon Morris

About Falon

Falon was born on December 23, 1995, the oldest of four children.  She loved to read, write, and travel.  Above all, she cherished spending time with her family, friends, and her cat. Falon had a beautiful bright smile and a gentle heart. Her infectious laughter was a joy to have around. Falon was kind and loving to everyone she met.  She was a recent Penn State University graduate, embarking on her young adult life in New York City.

Crash Story

On December 16, 2020, Falon was driving home to central Pennsylvania from New York City during a winter storm. She was on I-80 near Lock Haven, PA in Clinton County when she came upon a pile up with multiple tractor trailers completely blocking the road. Falon’s car went under a trailer and she died from her injuries.  Over 60 vehicles were involved in the pile up: 11 passenger vehicles and 55 tractor-trailers.

Life After the Crash

The crash happened just a week before Falon’s 25th birthday and Christmas.  The world lost a bright light that day, changing her family’s lives forever.  They are focusing on the beautiful life that Falon lived and.  They have established the Falon Morris Foundation in hopes of continuing to shine her light in the world.  The Foundation works to promote and encourage acts of kindness in their community and beyond. Falon will continue to be a part of her family’s lives and they will continue to share her light and spirit with others.

If there had been proper underride guards on the trailer that Falon’s car went under, this tragedy could have been prevented.  Falon’s family supports a requirement for all trailers on our highways to have adequate side underride guards.
