Lyndsey Burrow

About Lyndsey

Lyndsey Burrow had a much different life before she was seriously injured in a large truck crash. She grew up playing softball, becoming an integral part of both her high school and college teams. Off the field, she liked to bowl and posted videos on TikTok that garnered thousands of views. At the time of the crash, Lyndsey had just started college at Harding University in Arkansas, where she was on the college softball team and majoring in communication sciences and disorders to one day become a speech pathologist.

Crash Story

On Thursday, November 12, 2020 at approximately 4:30 pm, Lyndsey was involved in a serious truck crash. An 18 wheeler turned left in front of her and she struck the right rear tires of the trailer. She sustained multiple injuries including a severe traumatic brain injury, lacerated colon, broken jaw, and broken pelvis. She is now a semi responsive quadriplegic.

Life After the Crash

Lyndsey has remained hospitalized since the crash and is in an inpatient rehabilitation hospital for brain injuries; her hospital bills totaled over half a million dollars. This does not include any of the costs she will incur moving forward relating to her total disability from her brain injury, which requires 24 hour care, wheelchairs, retrofitting living spaces, rehospitalizations, and any other costs associated with the injuries she sustained. So, while her family struggles to pay for the existing costs of Lyndsey’s truck crash, they must also figure out how to pay for the long term costs of her care.

By updating the insurance minimums, other families involved in a truck crash like this won't have to worry about paying for a hospital room and whether their hospitalized child will wake up from a coma.
